Parent PAC Meeting – Migrant Education Program
We invite all of our migrant parents to join us for our first Parent PAC meeting on Tuesday, September 30 at 6:00 PM at the Tift County School Administrative Office. Come and learn about important school updates such as the new Cell Phone Policy, how to stay connected with your child’s grades and attendance, and other valuable resources. We will also have special guest speakers, including representatives from our school JROTC program, and more!

🎉 Tift County CTI students had a blast yesterday at Georgia CTI Emerging Leaders Day!
Our students shared plenty of laughs and made meaningful connections with chapters from all across the state. They participated in activities that pushed them outside their comfort zones that required communication. They gained valuable skills in teamwork, leadership, and most importantly, self-confidence.
This event is always so much fun and was the perfect kickoff to a new year. We’re excited to bring this energy back to our school and carry it through the rest of the year. 💙💪🏻#raisingthebar #CTAEdelivers #challengetheimpossible #4theT

Last week, our freshmen participated in Teen Maze, an annual interactive program hosted by the Tift County Commission on Children and Youth. This life-sized learning experience is designed to help ninth graders understand the real-world consequences of everyday choices—such as those related to abstinence, sexual activity, drinking and driving, and other risky behaviors. Through realistic scenarios and community volunteers, students were able to see how poor decisions can lead to serious impacts, including accidents, legal issues, and personal struggles. #4theT

What really sets Meghan apart and makes her a worthy candidate for recognition is her willingness and intrinsic motivation to help others. She accomplishes this daily despite language barriers. She uses technology to overcome language barriers with classmates. Without prompting from teachers, she seeks ways to include her peers in group work." 👏✨

Congratulations to the GA-051 AFJROTC Drill Team, The Silver Mustangs, of Tift County High School! As a very inexperienced team, more than 80% made up of 9th graders, we took Second Place Overall and placed in all the events: 1st Place—Color Guard, and 3rd Place in the other drill routines, Armed Regulation Drill, Unarmed Regulation Drill, and Inspection! Cadet Major Ray Lara took Outstanding Commander in the Color Guard event!
The commanders for these events were Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Nicholas Bennett, Armed Regulation Drill; Cadet Major Ray Lara, Color Guard; Cadet Senior Airman Gabriel Milton, Inspection; and Cadet Airman First Class Emily Hines, Unarmed Regulation Drill.

Greetings. We will have a PSAT overview meeting next Friday, October 3rd, at 3:00 in the commons. Please bring your Chromebook charged and ready to go. We will check to ensure that everyone is able to access their account in Bluebook and able to locate the practice resources. You will also receive information on what to bring, where to report the day of testing, and testing room assignments. This is only for students who have already registered to take the PSAT on Oct. 24th at TCHS.

Madison Bowyer was crowned as the 2025 Tift County High School Homecoming Queen during tonight's halftime ceremony at Brodie Field. She was joined by members of the court, including First Runner-Up Lola Reynolds and Second Runners-Up Graci Green and Aalayziah Lee.
Other senior members of the court include: Kaitlyn Graves, Kassie Hill, Addilyn Pate, and Perrin Turner.
Tift County Schools congratulates these outstanding students on this special honor and extends appreciation to all students, families, and community members who helped make this year’s Homecoming celebration a success.

This isn’t just any meet—it’s the largest cross country event we’ve ever hosted, with over 1,200 runners and 50 schools from across Georgia and Florida. It’s going to be an exciting morning of competition, and our athletes would love to see familiar faces cheering them on as they race!

🐷 BBQ Blitz – pulled pork perfection with a smoky flavor and a winning bite!
These pizzas were chosen and named by Tift County students and will be available Thursday, September 25th.

Through the training, students gained powerful insights on self-advocacy and job readiness as Ms. Bell shared tips on how to:
✅ Speak up, take responsibility, and be independent
✅ Understand accommodations and personal rights
✅ Search for jobs and stand out in interviews
✅ Use everyday skills to build a strong resume
✅ Practice smart social media habits and proper online etiquette
She also highlighted Temple Grandin’s inspiring words, “The world needs all kinds of minds,” and challenged students to look in the mirror every day and say something positive, reminding them that you miss 100% of the opportunities you don’t take! 🚀
