There are two events in the Fine Arts that produce GHSA State Champions in each classification: One-Act Play and Literary.

Literary events include:

Oral Presentation - Solo Dramatic, Solo Humorous, and Duo (dramatic or humorous)

Essay - Personal, Argumentative, and Rhetorical

Extemporaneous Speaking - Domestic and International

Boys Quartet

Solo - Boys and Girls

Girls Trio

In Literary, a student may represent their school in not more than two (2) individual events and one group event, or two (2) group events and one individual event. A school may have only one entry per contest.

Work on literary pieces begins around November.

Region Competition is in February and State Competition is in March.
