Students in World History participated in a Bubonic Plague activity. The plague was also known as the Black Death Plague and resulted in the deaths of one-third of Europeans during the fourteenth century. Students went through multiple cities to see if they would be affected with the plague through a roll of the dice. Once students rolled the die, they blindly picked out colored beads from a bag. If they drew a black bead, they were infected. By the end, students understood how deadly the plague was. #4theT #LetsGrowTogether

They brought books for students to look at, passed out library card applications, and allowed students to check out materials if they brought their cards. This will be a monthly outreach and students were pleased to participate in the "Judge a Book by Its Cover" game, designed to make discovering new books fun and engaging.
