We are pleased to inform you that students will return to school on Thursday, October 3rd, following the recent inclement weather days.
Thank you to our parents and community for your patience and support during this time. We look forward to having our students back in our schools to resume instruction and continue working toward increased achievement for the school year.
Our transportation team is working to develop new bus stops for our students who live off of dirt roads that have been washed out and are not passable. Please be patient with our transportation team as they work to navigate continued road closures.

While schools remain closed for students today, we will once again offer an opportunity for meal bag pickup. Parents may bring students to any of our schools (except for Annie Belle Clark and Tift County High School) beginning at 9am, to pick up a meal bag that includes breakfast and lunch. Quantities will be limited, and they will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. #4theT

After communicating with Georgia Power and Colquitt EMC regarding the status of the restoration of power and with EMS regarding the condition of roads, we feel it is in the best interest of our students and staff for all Tift County Schools to remain closed on Monday and Tuesday. We will continue to assess the situation and will provide updates as we have information. Stay Safe! #4theT.

Our commitment to student safety extends to addressing the opioid crisis. Narcan, an opioid antagonist, is available at every school site. This life-saving medication can reverse the effects of an overdose and protect our students and community. #SafetyFirst #4theT
What does #4theT mean? It means working together for the benefit of our students, staff, and community! 💙 Yesterday, staff members from all departments united to ensure every TCHS student received lunch. Lunches were put together and delivered to classrooms to help with restricted movement within the building. Special shout out to our school nutrition and maintenance departments for their incredible teamwork! This is what it means to be #4theT!
