Vet Science students are gaining valuable hands-on experience while learning essential clinical skills! 🩺🐾
Students practiced administering subcutaneous (SQ) injections using an orange and intramuscular (IM) injections using a hot dog—safe and effective ways to build confidence before working with live animals.
Throughout the activity, students focused on proper safety procedures, including wearing gloves and handling needles responsibly. They also learned how to accurately draw medication into a syringe and apply the correct injection angles—45° for SQ and 90° for IM.
Great work preparing for real-world veterinary practices! 👏 #CTAEdelivers #vetscience #4theT

Tift County CTI students participated in mock interviews during our Georgia CTI Pre-Employment Skills Training.
Students had the opportunity to build their resumes, step outside of their comfort zones, and practice real-world interview skills with community leaders, Mr. Tyler Riddle and Mr. M. Jay Hall. 🤝Through this experience, they were able to overcome nerves and grow in confidence as they prepared for future job opportunities both during high school and after graduation 🎓.
We are especially thankful to Dr. Tonja Cummings Tift for helping coordinate this opportunity and for her continued support of our students. Experiences like this truly make a lasting impact. This was great experience for our students to learn and grow
This preparation is valuable as our students get ready to participate in the Georgia CTI State Leadership Conference this April. #4theT #CTAEdelivers #ChallengeTheImpossible

Just before Spring Break, students from TCHS in partnership with work-based learning toured Exlabesa here in Tifton. This company makes aluminum parts for construction, automotive, and energy sectors. Exlabesa is known for macro-extrusion which means they have some of the largest machines in the world to make aluminum parts. Students learned about job opportunities related to extrusion including potential opportunities for them at the Tifton plant.
