All Tift County schools and offices will be closed today in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Students in Mrs. Alexander’s Forensic Science class did the Bertillon System of Measurements Lab to conclude their unit on Forensic history. The Bertillon System of Criminal Identification used body measurements to distinguish between individuals. These measurements could then be used to compile a description of an individual. Students were also given a mock crime scene and used the body measurements to identify the suspect. Students became aware of the many flaws of this system and saw why this is no longer used in today’s criminal investigations. #BTTY #4theT

The Blue Devil Brigade took canned food items as admission to their Christmas concert so they could donate to the local soup kitchen in Tift County. Band director, Jacob Thompson, dropped off items over the Christmas break. Thank you all for your support! #BTTY #4theT
The Blue Devil Brigade Auxiliary Band had their Christmas concert before the break and took donations of animal supplies as admission to the
performance. They were able to drop off the supplies at the local animal
shelter here in Tift County over the holiday break.
