TCHS wants to congratulate James Wise and Theo Cash for being selected as finalists for this year's Governor's Honors Program (GHP)! Patty Gail Passmore has also been chosen as an alternate. GHP is a residential summer program for skilled, knowledgeable, and talented high school sophomores and juniors from across the state of Georgia. The competition is extremely rigorous, as over 4,100 students are nominated to begin the initial application process. We are so proud of these students' hard work, and we can't wait to see what they accomplish while at GHP!

This week, the CTAE Department hosted fourth graders from GO Bailey for their school's Opportunity Day, allowing students to be transported to a local partner to enrich skills and generate sparks of interest for their future. TCHS Junior Bill Nguyen, who originally proposed the project to educate the kids about Heart Health, pulled together a coalition of HOSA and FCCLA students to make it happen. The young GO Bailey students were introduced to how poor lifestyle choices affect the heart and blood vessels and how they could make great nutritional and physical activity choices to maintain great overall cardiovascular health! #4theT
