CORRECTION:
Tift County Public School Students outperformed the nation's public schools on the SAT. Specifically, Tift County School students earned a Total mean score of 1012 outperforming the national average by 17 points. Tift's class of 2024 recorded a mean score of 524 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing portion of the assessment and a mean score of 488 on the math portion. That's compared to national averages of 507 and 488, respectively. Another point of celebration for Tift County Schools is that 29.96% of seniors in the class of 2024 took the SAT, up from 28.71% in 2023. This report presents data on students in the class of 2024 who took the SAT during high school. Test takers are counted only once and only their latest scores.
