Tift County High School continued celebrating student accomplishments this week. The most recent accomplishment was not just a first for TCHS but for the entire state of Georgia. TCHS senior, Eli Watts, became the very first dual enrollment high school student in the state of Georgia to earn his CDL.
While finishing his senior year at TCHS, Eli enrolled in the Commercial Truck Driving Program at Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC). He has now completed the program and passed the state CDL exam.
Eli is a member of the TCHS Class of 2023 and will graduate on Saturday at Brodie Field and has already applied for his first job as a driver.
