Middle School Basketball Cheer Meeting Announcement
The 8th Grade Basic Agriculture and 7th grade ag students are busy making arrangements for senior night tonight on Brodie Field. Tying bows and making T’s for all the senior football players, cheerleaders, band and ROTC.
Mrs. Sanders business class is learning about tips for Email Success! Students made anchor charts to display in the halls
ESMS Ag students are raising chicks in the classroom. When the chicks are older, they will go into the school chicken coop for agriculture students to continue to raise and care for throughout the year!
In an attempt to keep our kitchens cooler and our staff safe during the summer months, we have removed grits and biscuits from today's breakfast for lunch menu.

FFA Meeting dates for ESMS for the month of August.
Mrs. Story’s 6th graders are learning about communication and teamwork. Today they attempted to give instructions on putting together a puzzle to their blindfolded teammate. They discussed different communication barriers that they could encounter and attempt to overcome!!
7th graders are learning about safety and infection control and were able to demonstrate the correct order of putting on and removal of PPE(personal protective equipment).
Out of an abundance of caution, Eighth Street Middle School was placed on a soft lockdown this afternoon due to a medical concern with a staff member at the school. There was no threat to the safety and security of the students or staff and the school resumed normal operations.
The Palooza is back!

The Middle School Volleyball games scheduled to be played on Thursday at Thomas County have been canceled. Middle School Volleyball plays again on Monday, August 21st @ Cook Middle. #4theT
The Southwell clinic located at Annie Belle Clark Elementary will be consolidating with the other Southwell clinic located at Eighth Street Middle School beginning Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023.
Family nurse practitioner Monica Davis, FNP-C will continue to provide non-emergent sick care for the students, staff and retirees of Tift County Schools, but at one location as of Sept. 5.
The Eighth Street Middle School Clinic is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. Children are not seen without parental consent. For more information, please call 229-353-ESMS (3767). #4theT
