Congratulations to the ESMS FFA Poultry Judging team for winning the Area 5 FFA Poultry Judging CDE. They will advance to the state competition in March in Athens. Team members are Josie Golden, Laurel Rogers, Jay Thompson and Will Wise. Participants in the Poultry CDE participate in a comprehensive event relating to judging, placing, grading and identifying live birds, carcasses, eggs, poultry parts, chicken patties, nuggets or tenders and presenting oral reasons.

Congratulations to the ESMS FFA Nursery Landscape team. Team members competed at the Area V CDE in Pelham in February. The Nursery Landscape Career Development Event includes identification of plant materials and a written exam involving basic horticulture knowledge.

Students in Mrs. Sanders' business class have been engaged in a party planning activity! Students are given a budget, and have to shop online for all items necessary to plan a party. They are enjoying relating the class to real world skills.
