Dr. Wise's Careers classes got an inside look at careers within Informational Technology at ABAC. Mr. Allan Saylor, Chief Information Officer, lead students through ABAC’s IT Tech Support, the Department and their Broadcast Studio!
Today the faculty had an opportunity for fellowship over a great Thanksgiving meal. The food was good and the company was great! Thankful to be a part of the ESMS family!
In Mrs. Harden's class, students were working on a RAFT project where they were to choose a role, audience, format, and topic to complete the project. In this unit they just finished Reconstruction, so they could take on the role of a freedman and write a diary about their life as a sharecropper during the reconstruction period. Or, they could have been a businessman creating a business card for potential clients in need of services from the Freedmen's Bureau. Other options were to be a struggling artist commissioned by the US government to design commemorative stamps showcasing the reconstruction amendments, or they could have been a congressman who needed to persuade his/her voters to support one of the reconstruction plans.
