📣 Reminder for New Families to Tift County Schools!
If you have a student who will be new to Tift County Schools and you have not yet registered, please make sure to complete registration no later than Wednesday, July 30th to ensure time for your child to be assigned a schedule:teacher prior to Meet the Teacher.
In order for our administrators to have time to meet with families during Meet the Teacher and welcome students back on Friday, any students who register after Wednesday will not be guaranteed to have a schedule or homeroom teacher assigned in time for Meet the Teacher on Thursday. Principals and counselors will work on Friday, the first day of school, to build your child’s schedule. So, your child will be able to start on Monday, August 4th.
If you register after Wednesday, you are welcome to attend Meet the Teacher on Thursday, July 31st so you can meet all the teachers on the grade level. You just will not have a final schedule and final teacher assignments until the end of day on Friday.
We want every child to have a smooth and successful start—please help us by sharing this message with anyone you know who may still need to register.

🧑🏫 Schedules will be available for students and parents/guardians in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal on the following dates:
🔹 6th Grade:
📍 July 24th at 5:30 PM
(Aligned with 6th Grade Orientation)
🔹 7th & 8th Grades:
📍 July 31st at 3:30 PM
(Aligned with Meet the Teacher)
✅ Procedures for students that require a change in their connections classes will be shared during 6th Grade Orientation and Meet the Teacher events.

The Tift County Sheriff's Office will be conducting training at Northeast Middle School today and Thursday.
The Tifton Police Department will conduct training at Charles Spencer Elementary on Friday.
📍 Please note: During these training sessions, the campuses will be closed, and no one will be allowed inside the buildings. NEMS will open at 6pm on Thursday for 6th Grade Orientation.
