Our Tift County Varsity Tennis teams split today’s matches against Berrien:
✅ Boys: 5–0 WIN — strong performance on the courts!
➖ Girls: 0–5 — tough match, but proud of the effort and determination.
🗓 Next Match: Monday at Bleckley County.

The Tift County Middle School tennis team started its season last Thursday. Our Boys middle school tennis team beat Coffee and Pine Grove last week and Thomas County Central yesterday. They are undefeated for the season so far with a 3-0 record. The girls' team beat Pine Grove but lost to Coffee and Thomas County Central. They are1-2 for the season. We will be heading to Valdosta tomorrow to play against Lowndes and Hahira Middle at Lowndes High School.

🏀 Region Basketball Schedule Update
Due to an oversight with the GHSA 2026 calendar, the Region 1-6A Basketball Tournament schedule has been adjusted.
The Consolation Games and Region Finals will now be held Friday, February 20 at Lowndes High School with the following schedule:
🕓 4:00 PM – Girls Consolation Game
🕠 5:30 PM – Boys Consolation Game
🏆 7:00 PM – Girls Region Championship
🏆 8:30 PM – Boys Region Championship

The Tift County Boys Basketball team secured a big 65–56 win over Camden County tonight, extending an incredible 33-year streak of state playoff appearances — a tradition that began back in 1993!
This hard-fought victory shows the grit, determination, and pride of Blue Devil basketball, and we couldn’t be more proud of these student-athletes and coaches.

Congratulations to our Blue Devil swimmers on an outstanding performance at the 2026 State Swim Meet! The state team competed in prelims on Friday, with three individual swimmers advancing to finals in four events and two relay teams also earning spots in the finals — a great accomplishment at the state level.
In the finals, the Girls 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Abby Lupo, Chloe Brown, Jovia Burke, and Mary Frances Dove finished 7th with a time of 1:51.36, setting a new school record. Abby Lupo placed 8th in the 100 Fly (58.34) after breaking the school record in prelims with a 58.23, and she also finished 10th in the 100 Back (1:00.97). Mary Frances Dove finished 13th in the 50 Free (24.85) and 15th in the 100 Free (55.60), while Jovia Burke placed 17th in the 50 Free (25.17). The 400 Free Relay team of Lupo, Dove, Lauren Maag, and Burke wrapped up the meet with a strong 10th place finish (3:48.58).
We are incredibly proud of how these athletes represented Blue Devil swimming on the state level! 🏊♀️
