HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship Information

Starting with the Class of 2015, students will now have to complete Rigor Course requirements to receive the HOPE Scholarship.  Please see the following link from the GSFC for more information. 

HOPE Scholarship Rigor Requirements


Students must follow these instructions to view HOPE GPA and to view how it is calculated by the Ga. Student Finance Commission for the Zell Miller and HOPE Scholarship.

1. Go to GAFutures (which replaced GA College 411

2. Go to the Shortcut "Your HOPE GPA"

3. Log in using your GACollege 411 password.  If you can't remember your   password, please stop by Guidance.

4. Make sure your SS# is listed in your profile in GA College 411 (The website will not recognize your SS# if it is not).

5. Select Tift County High School.

6.  View Your HOPE GPA!

Rigor Requirements

HOPE GPA Calculation Changes

GSFC released a statement concerning changes in the HOPE GPA Calculation for this year.  Dual Enrollment courses will now be weighted the same as AP courses.  Please see the news release for more information.   GSFC News Release

Hope and Zell Miller Scholarships


(Including HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarships)

Beginning summer term 2013, a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) will be required in order to receive any state financial aid.* The 2012-13 or 2013-14 FAFSA may be used for summer term 2013. Please check with the financial aid office for any college-specific application policies and deadlines. Please note that effective June 8, 2013, GSFAPPS will no longer be available as an application for any state financial aid.

A 2013-14 FAFSA will be required for fall term 2013 and will be applicable through summer term 2014. A current year FAFSA is required for each year that you seek state financial aid. To complete the FAFSA, please click here http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.

They will be able to assist you with any FASFA processing questions.

Zell Miller Requirements

Georgia's Zell Miller Scholarship is available to Georgia residents who have demonstrated academic achievement. The scholarship provides money to assist students with their educational costs of attending a Zell Miller eligible college located in Georgia.
