Results of the CTI State Leadership Conference and Competition!
Dr. Tift took seven students to Rock Eagle this past week. Five of them competed against students across the state in a specific area, and the remaining students participated in leadership sessions. Four of the five who competed placed:
3rd Place - Senior, Alicia Poole - Public Speaking
2nd Place - Senior, Jamie Hester - Automotive Service Technology
2nd Place - Junior, Aaron Fletcher - Floriculture
1st Place - Junior, Timothy Pridgen - Woodworking
Senior, Kristina Slentz received a medal in her area, Healthcare Science Technology.
Junior, Nina Alexander and Sophomore, Erin Dunkel received certificates for completing their leadership session.

This past November, CTI students attended their annual CTI Fall Leadership Conference that was held in Stone Mountain, GA at the Evergreen Marriott Conference Center.  However, this time was extra special because senior, Tarnisha Thomas, made her debut as a CTI state officer.  She had several duties to complete during the conference to help make it a success.  TCHS is extremely proud of her!

This past week (April 22, 2013), 4 students attended the CTI State Leadership Conference where they listened to a motivational speaker, competed against other students across the state of Georgia while also meeting new people!
Juniors, Gladys Fudge and Keiara McCray, both competed and placed 2nd in Public Speaking. Sophomore, Corlandrea Anthony and Junior, Jashunda Sawyer, competed in Occupational Creative Thinking. They received medals for participation. I was very proud of these young ladies!
Earlier this semester, Junior, Keiara McCray attended the Career Technical Student Organization's Legislative Breakfast in Atlanta. She had an opportunity to meet Senator John Crosby and Govenor Nathan Deal. It was truly an honor for her!
