Spring EOC’s Begin April 22nd
Students in grades 9-12 at Tift County High School will take the Georgia Milestone End of Course Exams beginning Monday, April 22nd. The window for all EOC exams ends on Wednesday, May 15th.
End of Course Tests (EOC’s) count 20% of a student’s semester grade for the EOC course. It is important for students to be present on the days they are scheduled to take the EOC’s. Students who are absent for an EOC must make up the test prior to the end of the testing window and will be scheduled for a make-up exam. Documentation for an absence must be provided to the school.
9th Grade Literature EOC’s will be given April 22-24. Geometry EOC’s will be April 25-26. American Literature EOC’s are April 29-May 1. Algebra I EOC’s begin May 2 and end May 3. U.S. History and Economics students will take EOC’s on May 6-7. Students taking Physical Science EOC’s will test on May 8-9. Biology EOC’s occur May 13-14. The two scheduled make-up exam days are May 10 and 15. Makeup exams may also be scheduled on any day during the testing window.
Students needing to take an EOC who are involved in the dual-enrollment program and who have class during the morning test administration will receive an alternate testing time from their EOC course instructor a week prior to their exam.
TCHS students will use their own Chromebooks for this test administration. Parents can help by making sure that students have their Chromebooks charged and that students bring their Chromebooks to school every day.
All students have the opportunity to take a practice test in their EOC course April 10-11. Students can also practice online at “Experience Online Testing Georgia,” located at the following website: http://www.gaexperienceonline.com/.
