Georgia Milestones Testing Information

Tift County Schools has recently received correspondence from the Georgia Department of Education that has altered the guidelines for Georgia Milestones Testing. For this year only, due to Covid concerns, students that have participated in online learning will not be required to take Georgia Milestones Tests. For Tift County Schools, this would apply to all students since everyone has participated in online learning at some point this school year.

Special Delivery to Tift County High School

A special delivery was recently made to Tift County High School. It is an actual ambulance box that will be placed in close proximity to the healthcare science labs for healthcare science and emergency responder students to use in training and instruction.

Tift County High School Resumes Normal Operation after Soft Lockdown

Out of an abundance of caution, Tift County High School was placed on a soft lockdown this morning due to a situation that occurred at the school. System security personnel worked with local law enforcement to determine that there was no threat to the safety and security of the students or staff and the school resumed normal operations.
